New CYPHER Agent Practice and Assess tools for learners

New CYPHER Agent Practice and Assess tools for learners

In our latest CYPHER Live session, CEO and founder Graham Glass showcased the newest advancements in agentic learning. The focus has shifted from simple content delivery to creating a highly personal, interactive experience where the learner is truly at the center.

The headline of this session was the introduction of two revolutionary tools within the CYPHER Agent suite: Assess and Practice.

Intelligent session setup: learning that knows you

Before diving into the new tools, Graham demonstrated a significant upgrade to the Learn tool: the new session setup phase. Now, the agent acts like a research partner, asking clarifying questions about your goals and experience level before generating a tailored concept map. This ensures the AI makes the best use of your time, whether you are a total beginner or an expert looking for advanced techniques.

Assess: conversational, adaptive skill checking

The new Assess tool is not your typical "true or false" quiz. It is a conversational experience powered by the agent knowledge base. Key features include:

  • Real-time adaptation: The agent adjusts question difficulty on the fly based on your responses.
  • Constructive feedback: Instead of just a score, the agent provides immediate insights and explanations during the process to help you learn as you go.
  • Thematic reporting: At the end of a session, learners receive a comprehensive report highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and confidence levels.

As Graham noted, this is designed for "agentic learning"—it is a tool for the learner to understand their own gaps, rather than a high-stakes formal grading system.

Practice: simulated scenarios for real-world skills

The Practice tool allows learners to stress-test their skills in safe, AI-simulated environments. During the demo, Graham walked through a customer support scenario where the AI acted as a frustrated customer.

The tool generated a concept map including "self-regulation" and "empathy statements," then evaluated the learner's responses based on those specific criteria. This capability extends to any field—from sales pitches to technical support—providing a "jujitsu move" for upskilling that would be nearly impossible to build with traditional branching logic.

The master plan for end-to-end upskilling

These tools aren't just standalone features; they are part of a broader vision for a full suite of AI tools that support the entire learner journey—from initial learning to practice, assessment, and eventually, career planning.

Graham also teased upcoming developments for Q2, including an upgraded user interface and potential voice interactions, promising that the pace of innovation at CYPHER will only continue to accelerate.
