First steps when using INDIE

So you’ve decided to use INDIE to create engaging online courses, but you’re not so sure how to get the ball rolling. To give you a helping hand, we have prepared a few steps you could follow when starting out with INDIE:

  1. Signing up for a site

    5 minutes. You can create your own site in a snap! We only need your name, a username and a password. With just a few clicks you can sign up for our 14-day free trial

  2. Customizing your site

    1 hour. INDIE is highly customizable so you can set up your selling site with your own logo, color schemes, URL, terminology, panels, images, and more.

  3. Creating an outline of each course

    10 - 15 minutes per course. At this stage you will determine what each course is about and the content outline.

  4. Creating the materials for each course

    A few hours per course. This depends on whether you want to upload your own content or create new content. Our authoring tool makes it easy to create engaging courses fast.

  5. Configuring the course catalog

    10 minutes. This simply requires selecting from several layout options we have available. We recommend using attractive and high resolution pictures for each catalog category.

  6. Marketing your courses

    15 - 45 minutes. We offer promotional tools to help you sell courses faster, such as SEO for your site and courses, ratings and reviews, affiliate programs, and integration with MailChimp.

  7. Configuring e-commerce

    30 minutes. Select your desired payment gateway and set prices for your courses. You can also create coupons, discount codes, bundles, subscriptions, and even sell digital media items.
