Channel Development Representative (CDR)

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced and motivated Channel Development Representative (CDR). The CDR will play a critical role in owning key Resellers and Referrals Partners to drive maximum growth of the channel sales. This is a quota carrying position with a lot of visibility and impact in our fast-growing organization. Responsibilities

  • Develops and supports sales activities with partners, sets targets, measures results, and supports expansion and new opportunities
  • Interacts and engages with a reseller at C-Suite level but also with the full hierarchy of the organization. Understands resellers’ business and organizational structure
  • Owns all lead registration and sales processes from resellers and referrals
  • Quoting each opportunity after considering reseller feedback and customer requirements
  • Ensures a common vision between CYPHER LEARNING and the reseller
  • Works with resellers to help identify areas of Marketing investment and supports execution
  • Conducts regular forecast/pipeline reviews with resellers
  • Oversees contractual requirements with resellers. Keep CRM updated with contacts, addresses, and opportunities as they arise
  • Ensures assigned resellers understand product and marketing information and are effectively utilizing CYPHER LEARNING sales and marketing tools
  • Coordinates joint execution of quarterly sales plans with CYPHER LEARNING sales teams
  • Assists and holds Resellers accountable for the execution of defined quarterly sales plans
  • Identifies causes of over/underperformance by resellers through a variety of methods (pipeline, closing rate, feedback on meetings, etc.) and adequate plans accordingly
  • Develop recommendations to improve resellers’ sales strategies, coverage, and capabilities

Required experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required
  • 4+ years of sales and channel partner experience managing partner relationships
  • 4+ years experience selling/managing a SaaS Solutions environment
  • Extensive experience with channel partners, resellers, integrators or end-customers in a dynamic software environment
  • Thorough understanding of channel sales, partners, distribution
  • Strong business development skills with demonstrable success in qualifying, engaging, and developing new resellers
  • Highly motivated individual with well-developed business acumen
  • Proven ability to make strong connections and overcome rejection to achieve results
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working independently with minimal direction
  • Solid organizational skills with a keen ability to prospect and follow-up
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
  • High energy and collaborative team member
