As a knowledge entrepreneur, you need to be on your audience’s radar as much as possible. Podcasts are a great way of achieving this, as they’re skyrocketing in popularity, especially the ones related to education. They also help you reach a diverse audience, which any course creator wants and needs.

With the amount of work that goes into writing the script and recording a podcast episode, it’s counterproductive to just leave it at that.

Once you've built an audience that comes back regularly to your content, it's time to think about how you can expand your reach. Here are some ideas that’ll make you want to start repurposing your podcast content ASAP:

1. Use content snippets on social media

Popular as podcasts may be these days, there's still room for more. Once you've got an idea about who your audience is and where they are on the social media map, you can use your existing content in the right places.

Share entire episodes, post snippets, or add something to the podcast piece depending on the platform. TikTok, for example, is an excellent place to upload a short, impactful video of yourself featuring the podcast audio in the background.

2. Publish the transcripts

As a rule of thumb, you should provide transcripts for your podcast episodes to ensure they are accessible to people with hearing impairments. Beyond that, people who are not podcast listeners may find the content interesting, and it needs to be accessible in written form for research purposes.

Transcripts also help your SEO strategy, as the text will help you show up more in searches and ultimately reach a larger audience, both for your content and e-learning business.

3. Upload episodes as audiograms

Podcast hosting platforms are for audio-only content. However, few people use them to find new things to listen to. In truth, most people access podcasts on YouTube. Since it’s not a good idea to simply upload your episodes there without adding visuals, audiograms are the way to go.

Choose a suitable image, add an animated waveform and play your podcast episode for one of the largest online audiences.

4. Make infographics

Infographics make content easy to digest and remember. As a learning entrepreneur, you are undoubtedly aware of this and have some experience in making them.

Infographics are also great for marketing as they get shared in other people's posts. This only helps cement your authority on the topic. The goal is to offer bite-sized information and make it engaging.

If your content suits your audience and you are OK with doing so, you should also consider making memes — just make sure to make them relevant. It’s easy to misinterpret meme culture and people notice that right away.

5. Livestream some podcast episodes

You don’t need props, fancy equipment, or a videography course to do this. You, your microphone, and your headphones will do. It's best to promote the livestream in advance so listeners can clear their schedules and send their questions to you.

You should also provide a way for the audience to interact with you during the livestream – chat is the easiest way. Having a guest to interview renders the experience even more engaging.

6. Use podcast content in your newsletter

Newsletters are handy marketing tools. They help you build an audience and then stay in touch with them. It's important to make sure you don't send too many and that the content is helpful.

However, since your subscribers are already engaged with your content, your podcast material should be right up their alley. You can even use it to add an interactive component by adding surveys so your newsletter subscribers can choose what they want to hear you talk about in future episodes.

7. Convert podcast episodes into blog posts

At first glance, this sounds strikingly similar to publishing your transcripts, but it’s not the same thing. Blog posts have a different structure. For example, you should chunk the information and put relevant headers for each paragraph and change the text to suit a blog post style of writing.

You may have to take out some information and rephrase it to achieve better readability. It’s also best to include the link to the podcast to promote it as well.

8. Create an e-book

While a single podcast episode is too little to base an entire e-book on, a series of 10-12 episodes or more, depending on their length, can be turned into an e-book. You'll have to choose a suitable format, which also depends on how you structure your podcast episodes.

E-books work when they have a central topic or even with a collection of several related ones. The key is to be thorough when setting expectations in your description.
